COVID Testing Updates

As COVID cases increase throughout Anchorage we are pleased to offer our established patients drive-up, rapid, molecular and PCR testing at MPFC. A few things to remember about our process:

1- Established patients of MPFC may be tested without a provider visit if they have no symptoms and require testing following direct contact with a COVID positive patient or for work, travel or mandate-related reasons. In this case, please call and asked to be placed on the COVID testing schedule for the day you require a test. You may show up at any time on that day between 9am and 5pm. Results are generally available within an hour or two.

2- Patients with symptoms of COVID, new patients or patients who have not been seen at MPFC in the last three years will need a provider telemedicine or in person appointment before testing. Please call to schedule an appointment with a provider if this is the case.

3- We are aware that testing supplies are limited nationally and locally and are doing our best to preserve what we have and plan ahead. As such, we are limiting contact-related testing to those patients who have had significant, direct exposure to someone with COVID. This means contact within 6 feet for greater than 15 minutes with or without a mask. If you have questions about whether this is the case, please visit the resources on our COVID web page, the CDC website, or call and speak with our COVID nurse.

4- If you have a business and would like you employees to be tested, please call our Occupational Health Department to discuss the options.
