Lead Pediatric Nurse Job Description
Medical Park Family Care has an opening for a Lead Pediatric RN. We are a small department in a larger, physician-owned family practice clinic and provide our patients a specialty pediatric medical home from birth through adolescence.
Successful candidates will be friendly, flexible, able to multi-task, well-organized and have a passion for caring for children and their families. This is a new role in our clinic and offers the opportunity to bring one's experience and personal strengths to the structure of the position.
Lead Pediatric RN duties:
Provide clinical support for the physicians and nurse practitioners of the pediatric department
Enjoy pediatric phone triage, patient education and relationship building with patients and families
Participate as needed in patient rooming, referral management and vaccine administration
Serve as a resource for nursing staff from other departments in the Clinic regarding pediatric concerns
Nurture relationships with pediatric vendors and pediatric colleagues in the community
Manage State-supplied vaccinations through VACTRAK and keep up to date on vaccination schedules while advocating for evidence-based childhood vaccinations
Minimum Requirements:
Current Alaska Nursing License
Familiarity with an outpatient pediatric setting
An appreciation for the customer service aspect of our job
Flexibility to accommodate the changing needs of the day
A positive, solution-minded approach
Preferred:
2 years pediatric nursing experience
Experience with Athena Health EMR

Pay: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience and education.
