We hope that you are still finding social connection during these times of physical separation. On our end, we are mindfully adjusting our clinic space and schedule to accommodate patients who need to come to clinic while minimizing exposure of well patients and staff to those potentially infected with the coronavirus. These efforts include screening all patients who enter clinic for coronavirus risk factors, frequent disinfection of all surfaces, removing community reading material, establishing a designated respiratory clinic, keeping the lab free of patients with respiratory illness, designating exam rooms for well check visitis, and limiting the number of people in clinic at any given time. To that end, we ask that you come to your appointments alone or with one caregivier as needed to bring your own reading material.
In terms of coronavirus testing, we are following CDC guidelines for whom to test. We understand that many folks who do not meet these guidelines would also like to be tested. However, there is a local and national shortage of testing supplies. We need to protect these materials until the supply chain allows the broader testing we would all like to see.
